Arctic Drive release date and platforms

The date is confirmed. The hour is not.

The publisher and Steam both list November 25, 2026 for Early Access. The official site’ hero also says “Early Access on Steam, November 25, 2026.”The Xbox release is confirmed by the publisher’ press kit and release announcement, which describe the game as arriving on Steam and Xbox Early Access on the same date.

What has not been announced is the exact unlock hour. The countdown above targets 00:00 UTC on release day and is labeled as such. It is not a confirmed launch time. Steam releases often unlock later in the day, and the developer has not published a schedule. If you are planning a launch stream or a group session, leave the evening open rather than assuming a morning unlock.

Platforms and store status

The confirmed platforms are PC via Steam and Xbox Game Preview. Steam currently lists Windows 10/11 64-bit and a broadband connection. The Xbox version is described by the publisher as Game Preview / Early Access; no separate Xbox performance targets have been published.

No PlayStation, Nintendo Switch or mobile version has been announced. Crossplay between Steam and Xbox is not confirmed. Steam-to-Steam multiplayer is confirmed. See the co-op guide for the full platform breakdown.

Price: still TBA

There is no official price yet. The developer’ Steam Early Access statement says the price will gradually increase as content, features and major improvements are added, and that players who support the game during Early Access benefit from a lower price. That is a stated intention, not a specific number or a discount guarantee.

We do not publish a guessed price. When the store page lists one, this section will be updated with the exact figure and currency caveats.

How long is Early Access?

The developer currently expects a little under a year. The Steam statement says the time will be used to add major planned features, expand content, improve performance and refine the experience based on community feedback. It also says the timeline may evolve.

The official roadmap lists six milestones: Ignition (closed beta), Roadtrip (open beta), First Drive (demo), Into the Cold (Early Access), Expeditions (updates) and Full Throttle (full release). The roadmap carries the warning that items may change. See the roadmap page for the full breakdown.

What to do before launch

1. Try the demo. It is free, it is the closest preview of the launch build, and it has been patched repeatedly. See the demo guide.
2. Check your PC. The official minimum is a GTX 1650 and 4 GB RAM; the recommended GPU is an RTX 3060. The system requirements page has the full table.
3. Agree on a co-op plan. Decide who hosts, who drives, who repairs and who carries the revival kits. The loadout planner can help.
4. Wishlist the game. Steam wishlisting is the only official notification mechanism we can recommend. We do not have a newsletter or a pre-order link.
5. Do not buy the Xbox version for crossplay yet. Wait for an explicit crossplay confirmation if that is your reason for choosing the platform.
